A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church on Wednesday evening, the Rev. J. H. Datson officiating, when Miss Ada Bovey, of Masterton, was married to Mr Stan. Newland, also of Masterton.
The bride, who was given away by her uncle, wore a pretty- gown of pale pink georgette, heavily beaded in silver. Her bridal veil was held in place by sprays of orange blossoms and she carried a shower bouquet. The bridesmaid, Miss Eve Bovey, twin sister of the bride, wore a dainty dress of almond green georgette and silver lace. Mr Jack Sloan acted as best man.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Central Arcade. The future home of the couple will be in Wellington.
