RASTON—O’CONNOR. 

A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Patrick’s Church on Thursday morning the contracting parties being Maud, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. O’Connor, of Tinui, and Joseph Ranston, second son of the late Rev. Ranston, of Auckland. 

The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a lovely gown of white georgette, beautifully embroidered, and wore the customary veil. She carried a lovely bouquet of white asters and roses, pink carnations and maidenhair fern. 

The bridesmaids were the Misses F. and A. O’Connor (sisters of the bride). The former was attired in pale blue crepe de chine, with black picture hat, and carried a bouquet of white cactus dahlia and asparagus fern. The latter was attired in pink crepe de chine, and carried a bouquet of pink asters and lycopedium fern. 

Mr J. Innes, of Tinui, acted as best man, and Mr Davey, of Pahiatua, as groomsman. 

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Wenvoe tea rooms, where a sumptuous breakfast was served and the usual toasts honoured. The wedding presents were numerous and costly, including several sums of money. The happy couple left by the afternoon train for Rotorua, amid showers of confetti.
